Reprompt - Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026.

The short version

Reprompt collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any kind. There is no Reprompt server, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent.

What data Reprompt collects

None. Reprompt does not collect, transmit or receive any personal data. Its App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected", and that is a literal description of the app.

What stays on your device

iCloud

When your device is signed in to iCloud, your scripts and folders sync through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices, including Apple TV. The list of takes for each script (when a take was recorded, its length and any note) syncs with it, and so does a single marker that stops a second device adding the welcome script twice. That data goes to Apple, not to us, and it is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud account and cannot see anything stored in it. Recorded video is never synced. If your device is not signed in to iCloud, or you switch Reprompt off in your device's iCloud settings, your scripts and settings never leave your device.

Purchases

Reprompt Pro is an optional in-app purchase made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card details or your Apple Account. To decide whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns Reprompt Pro, or bought Reprompt when it was a paid app. That check is between your device and Apple, and nothing about it is sent to us.

Camera, microphone and photo library

Reprompt asks for the camera and microphone only so it can record a take while your script scrolls, and for the optional Voice Pause feature, which reacts to how loud you are rather than to what you say. Audio and video are written straight to a file on your device. Nothing is streamed, uploaded or analysed anywhere else. Photo library access is requested only if you choose to save a finished take to your library.

Third parties

Reprompt contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks and no advertising code. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected. The only third party involved at all is Apple: for iCloud sync, for buying or restoring Reprompt Pro, and if you choose to save a take to your photo library.

Data retention and deletion

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Everything Reprompt stores lives on your device and is under your control: delete a script or a take inside the app, or delete the app itself, and it is gone. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove that data from Settings on your device (your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage).

Withdrawing permission

You can revoke camera, microphone or photo access at any time in iOS Settings, or in System Settings on a Mac. Reprompt keeps working without them - you simply cannot record until you grant them again. To stop iCloud sync, switch Reprompt off in your device's iCloud settings, or sign out of iCloud.

Children

Reprompt is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It does not collect data from anyone, including children, and contains no advertising and no user-generated content feeds.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. As long as the app collects nothing, there is unlikely to be much to change.
