Gridsong is a musical grid for iPhone and Mac. Tap or drag on the grid to place notes, press play, and it loops. The whole grid is locked to a musical scale, so nothing you tap can sound wrong - no lessons, no theory, no wrong notes.

How can it be that I can't play a wrong note? Every row of the grid is mapped to a note in a musical scale (a pentatonic scale by default), and there are no notes in between. Whatever you tap is already in key, so anything you make sounds musical - on purpose.
How do I use my own sound? Tap record and make a sound into the microphone - a word, a hum, a tap on the desk. Gridsong turns it into an instrument you can play across the whole grid. Recorded sounds are made and kept entirely on your device.
Do my patterns sync between iPhone and Mac? Yes, if you turn on iCloud sync in Settings. Your patterns sync through your own iCloud account. Sounds you record yourself stay on the device that made them.
How do I share what I made? Use Record a video to capture your loop playing, then share the video anywhere or save it to your photos. Sharing only happens when you choose it.
Does it work offline? Completely. Gridsong needs no account and no connection. There are no ads and no tracking of any kind.
Is there a subscription? No, and there never will be. Gridsong is a single purchase that covers both iPhone and Mac, and every future update is included.
If something is hard to read, hard to hear or hard to reach, please email me - that is a bug worth fixing.
Gridsong collects nothing. See the Gridsong privacy policy.
Runlow, Recast, Recomp, Reprompt and more - all pay-once, no subscription.
