Your fasting records stay on your device and, with Refast Plus, in your own private iCloud. Refast has no user account, advertising identifier or tracking SDK. We do not receive your fasting history, notes, plans or settings. Apple sends separate purchase-event notifications to our sales notification service when Refast Plus is purchased or refunded.
The app does not send fasting records or app interaction analytics to us. Our separate sales service receives Apple-signed purchase notifications. It processes the transaction in real time and sends a sales alert containing the app, product, event type, price, currency and App Store storefront to a private developer Telegram chat. The alert does not include your name, Apple Account, email address, payment details, device identifier or fasting records.
Purchase summaries are used for sales administration. They are not linked to your identity, combined with other data to identify you, used for advertising or used to track you.
If you have Refast Plus and are signed in to iCloud, your fasting history and your plans sync through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. That data goes to Apple, not to us, and it is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud account and cannot see anything stored in it. Without Plus, or if you are not signed in, iCloud sync is off and your fasts stay on the device you logged them on.
Refast does not use Apple Health. It does not read from HealthKit and it does not write to it. Your fasting history is not shared with the Health app or with any other app.
Refast asks for notification permission so it can tell you when a fast reaches its goal. It can also tell you at the halfway point, and remind you to start a fast at up to two times you choose, but only if you switch those on. Those are the only notifications it will ever send, and each one can be turned off in the app's Settings. Nothing is sent through a server: they are scheduled on your device by iOS. You can revoke notification permission at any time in Settings and the timer keeps working.
Your current fast is sent from your iPhone to your Apple Watch using Apple's Watch Connectivity, and a fast you start or end on the Watch goes back to your iPhone the same way. It only ever travels between your own devices, and it never passes through us.
You can start, end or check a fast by asking Siri, from the Shortcuts app, from Control Centre or from a widget. Siri requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Refast only receives the action you asked for, such as starting a fast of a chosen length, and never your voice.
Refast Plus is a single in-app purchase handled by Apple. The app checks Apple-verified transactions to unlock Plus and restore purchases. We never receive your payment card details, Apple Account or name. Apple also sends purchase and refund events to our sales service, as described above. This service is separate from the app's fasting-data storage.
Refast contains no third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks or advertising code. Apple provides iCloud sync, in-app purchases and Siri. The sales notification service runs on Cloudflare Workers and delivers the limited purchase summaries described above through Telegram. Neither service receives your fasting records through Refast.
Your fasting records remain under your control on your devices and in your private iCloud. You can delete a fast in the app. Removing the app removes its local storage; synced data can remain in iCloud or on other devices until you remove it there.
The sales service does not persist the full signed transaction payload in its application storage. It caches a notification identifier for up to 30 days to avoid duplicate alerts. Limited purchase summaries remain in the private sales chat until deleted. For questions or requests about this sales information, contact us at the address below. Refast is rated 13+ on the App Store. It contains no advertising or public user-generated content, and it does not collect fasting records from anyone. The purchase-event handling above applies to purchases regardless of age. Fasting is not recommended for under-18s without medical advice, and the app says so on first run.
Refast is a timer. It does not diagnose, treat or give advice, and nothing in it should be taken as a recommendation to fast. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking insulin or diabetes medication, under 18, or have a history of disordered eating, please speak to a doctor first.

If you use Send feedback in the app, it opens a message in your own mail app. Underneath your message it fills in the app version, your device's system version, your language and region, your time zone, whether you have Refast Plus, whether you are signed in to iCloud and whether sync is running, and your theme. You can see and delete those lines before you send, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
